Mind you much to the aghast of some, is that as we have no garbage pick up out my way, yep the wheely bins have to go into the back of my nice, shiny new beastie. We are talking potential garbage juice overflows and lets not forget an aussie fave, the ol maggie as well. My daughter had to hold her nose for the last run due to the stench :? . After 3 days of waiting for the smell to clear have decided a trailer maybe the way to go. So if anyone knows a good place to pick up a decent new/second trailer, please let me know,

    You're no princess.

Well, "princess" is probably and offence to the real princesses out there, so I guess I concur. I just didnt want to use the words my father did, ie something along the lines of being a "nance" because I got dirt on my car . No bloke wants to be known as a nance :? do they? Plus with all the rain we are having, I am going to give it a burl on my acreage when I get home, that way their wont be an audience if I stuff it up , havagreatweekend,

Just to go back to the awards thingy for a sec, don't you guys think the D3 might be trying for a 2-in-a-row win?

Vlad, don't be worried about talking in the 3rd person or to yourself. You like my humor. THAT'S what you should be concerned about 8O

I've got the LR waterproof seatcovers and rubber floor mats. They work a treat. Don't keep out all the sand, but protect the seats and carpets from the bulk of it. The mats are very good at containing spills.

Thanks for the tip Jamo, I went to buy the LR carpet mats ( have Kmart cheapies in their at the moment) and the price......$318, said thanks but no thanks, will stick with the cheapies for the carpet. Instead bought a landy cap, so I dont end up with one side of my forehead burnt when I have the sunroof open, that was a bargain at $29 8O . Rubber is a different kettle off fish, so I am assuming from what you wrote LR has fitted rubber mats and seat covers?? Will have to look into that, especially with the mini horde of little people that I have ,

The LR rubber mats are fitted and pretty well cover the footwells. The second row set even clip together. There is no third row set. They are expensive, but fit well and work well. They're a bit of a must for me as I have to traipse over farms occasionally. The cost wasn't a big problem for me as I optioned them on when I bought the car on CHP so they're amortised out.

The rear set have already been tested by a six year old and a can of Sprite.

I've also got the rubber mat for the rear. It was very expensive, but also works well.

The seat covers were also ( that's right... you guessed it!) expensive, but are waterproof and fit very well. There are separate covers for the armrests and headrests, and each seat has an individual one; so the rear seats can still be individually lowered. 8) 8)

Thanks again, might look into the rubber ones as I feel they need to be fitted ones, with the carpet ones as I am the main one in my D3 on a day to day basis, the cheapies are sufficing. Will see if I can get my local dealer where I bought the D3 from will see their way through to doing me a deal as I am looking at roof racks and a pod for light travelling to start with , could be lucky, who knows.

    Regards
