Weather forecast for Banff seems quite balmy.

Wow. What began as a simple little remark lead to this. How amazing is this forum? I know, there was a huge donation from outside, but somehow I think that what we were doing helped push that one. I also like to believe we might have made it if that hadn't happened.
    Kenley, .

Kelsey, you go, girl. Luck and love.

It's getting very close. We leave tomorrow. Very excited, surprised that the only one who hasn't packed is Kelsey. Anyway, that's what tonight and tomorrow morning is for.
It would have been nice if her school had have thought to put that sign up themselves. As it's not a soccer event they really don't care. But all the same, after a suggestion from her mom they have put that up. Kelsey is a little embarrassed by it but I'm proud as punch.

This monstrosity is her bike. Under the shrink is half a roll of duct tape and inside around the bike is a lot of foam padding. Protect the bike til we get there. Shrink wrap to keep it dry and to prevent any one getting into it.
Now I found out they may well open it at the airport before departure to swab it. Damn. There's no way I'll pack it again that well at the airport.
But as I don't want our plane to be on the news for the wrong reasons I will gladly unpack the entire bike if they want to check.

Should be fun lugging that around airports and hotels for the next few days.

Screw some cheap castor wheels to the bottom of the bike box. Heaps easier to push around and you can have rides why you wait at the airport.

We can relate to that, at our kids ex school. The princpal was only interested in how well the volley ball team went.

Good luck in Canada Kelsey and no matter what the outcome, you should be proud of what you have achieved thus far. We sure as hell are. .
You two be safe and above all, have fun and enjoy the adventure.

There should be a shrink wrapping service at the airport somewhere.
    Have a great time.
