    Thats interesting! If your talking the bit that's full of holes, ie the rear bumper?, mine lost all its paint and started turning orange at approx 38,000k.
    I thought they had used "blackboard" paint on it.

    I rubbed it down, masked it up, and satin black VHT sprayed it from a can.

    Yep, looks just dandy.

    Hmmm... now that I own one of these I realise that rust prevention is not taking it to a shop and getting then to spray gunk around... it's about getting underneath and keeping a constant eye out for rust. I had heaps of stuff to re-paint after our trip because the pait was worn off and it was starting to rust

    I'm also damn sure that I'll be getting the "rust inspection" done by LR each service which is what enables you to claim your rust warranty...
