I rebuilt a Californian Moke many years ago.
A great little car even had the 13 inch sunraisias on it But like all mini's it was definitely a Summer car as a few drops of rain on that strategically place distributor cap would shut the engine down.
Just as well really because it didn't have a roof anyway.

They had covers over the distributor to stop the ignition getting wet. Most people couldn't be bothered refitting those covers. Silly them.
Yes, winters in the Moke. The only troubles I had was "fish'n'chip" shop windows. I get that in the Landrovers. And the heater, compared with the Landrovers, the Moke was always toasty.
I had a Moke without a roof for a while. One cold winters evening, quite late, I was driving along Bourke Road. I stopped at a red light. A 'W' class tram pulled up beside me. The door opened. The conductor stuck his head out and asked "Are you cold?"
"I have a heater." I answered.
Happy with that, he returned to the tram and closed the door.
Middle of winter, no roof, sitting in an motorised oversized roller skate, of course I was cold. I was freezing.
But, geez, I had fun in that Moke.
