I was given Australian naturalisation that my parents arranged just after I born in USA.
My dad worked for Ford in Detroit(Michigan, USA) at the time.
He was born in Hong Kong of Scottish parents and mum is at least 3 generations Australian.
I have an Australian passport but I wonder how many other nations would allow me to apply?

IIRC I was less than 12 months old when we left the USA.
I remeber being told I could claim US citizenship as a 21 year old but I was married by then so never followed it up.

Yes, I know. I just didn't bother with renewing my passport as it seemed pointless when it expired after the Brexit vote. I still get to vote in UK General Elections and all the fun things like that.

Born in Manchester UK, moved to Oz in the 80's, dual citizenship.

Wife's from Osaka, Japan, and at the moment my two kids can have 3 passports if they wish. They currently hold 2, Aussie and Japanese. But if I understand the rules correctly when they turn 18, if they wish to keep their Japanese nationality, then they have to relinquish the others. Japan doesn't allow dual citizenship.

As far as I have learn`t I maybe of Irish stock from way back when it was assisted migration. So might be a bit of a stretch getting dual citizen ship.
