ALso did either of them have the glass roofs? Hard to tell in pic, mine has 3 including sunroof, thought was standard?

Youv'e got the V8, which has bigger disks than the TDV6 so your looking at 18' as the min wheel size you can go to.

Goodyear make an MTR in 19", as used on the G4 cars. It's not generally available here, but I read somewhere that A chap had some brought in for his Cayenne, so you might be able to try and get some.

There is stuff all availabe in a suitable 18" size at this stage.

You only get glass roofs if you wanted the sunroof.

No chipping on mine yet,5000ks and several offroad trips.

I've been dropping the pressure down to 30PSI (hot) but that was only recently after I noticed chipping on the rears but it hasn't really stopped it from occurring. No doubt it has probably reduced it though.

Hi Jamo, there has been much discussion over this in other threads, and until the tyre companies recognise that many new 4wds are coming out with 18in plus rims there wont be much on the market. This therefore limits your tyre choice to nil. The only other option is to purchase a new set of rims, like in the 2 D3's pictured above and swap them when off road. But keep in mind you need to be wary of the clearance needed to cover the brakes and calipers, i dont think you will be able to go any lower than 17in, and these should give you a wide enough range of tyres to choose from.

Nice pics by the way. The only thing better than a D3 is two D3's. Matt

Yeah, The TDV6 can take 17's but the V8 can't. Ive got six STT's waiting at Tyrepower Belmont (Perth) and the 17's are being delivered there from performance wheels tomorrow (Friday). All I have to now is get my D3 to get it's fat ass off access height!

No, I suspect it's the compressor. I won't know till I get up to Kalgoorlie at the end of next week and plug it into the T4.

There is a slim chance it's due to the fauly Steering Angle Sensor, which is being replaced at that time, but I doubt it. Most of the time I get a suspension warning, but sometimes I don't and the car says 'Suspension Raising Slowly' but nothing is happening (it kept trying for 20minutes the other day). The compressor is not switching on.

According to the Workshop Manual, when the charging system starts shutting things down, the warning 'Warning - Low Battery' should appear. And I disconnected everything foreign from the system, but still have no air.

I looked at the compressor and it's one of the models that was known to fail. I warned the Tech in Kal out and he is going to make sure he can lay his hands on any component in the suspension system.

So now I've got to drive to Kal (400km) at about 1" above access height. Since no air can be put in to firm the springs, the ride is a bit floaty.

In the words of Homer Simpson "It's just a bunch of stuff that happened!".

I am going to find out, however, if it's possible to fit the air tank with an inlet valve. That way, in an emergency, I could hook my portable compressor up to recharge the tank manually so to speak.
