One to me via email with the full price in B pounds, And another included with the goods stating the goods and total cost of under $1000AUD. One was a discreet winch mount assembly and the other was 6 Compomotive rims. Just wish the price really paid was the AUD priced invoice!! Mosy international suppliers know the drill and if its a once off purchase are probably more accommodating. I guess the worste thing that can happen if you ask is they say no.
I would worry that a business that is prepared to do dodgy stuff by the customs man may also be prepared to do dodgy stuff by me. When I kitted the 130 out with all the Ashcroft gear, I did it in separate purchases that all came in well under the $1K. All very routine with them and their freight prices are very good, a couple of extra shipments won't cost you the 30% that the taxman will.

Just dont get your shipments too close together as Customers are a wake up to this aspect and may link shipments from the same supplier to the same delivery address and combine them etc

    Not dodgy, just redistributing costs.
The problem is case 1. I can buy a gearbox and be under the $1000aud cutoff, but I I have work done to it goes over.
