To make it worse, they refer to Land Rovers as "jeeps" (note the lower case J).
The past few nights I have been watching some British Crime shows on Fox
These are quite entertaining, Vera, Lewis & some old Frost.
But unfortunately 1 thing keeps happening in these crime shows that makes them far less believable.
What is the problem? You may well ask!
When the police all turn up Mob Handed with lights & sirens blaring it just doesn't ring true
Because there is always a Police Defender in the lead??
Now, really. Is it likely that the Defender is going to be the quickest? Is it likely that the poor victim has to rely on the outstanding performance of a Defender to rescue them from the Criminal?
My only explanation for this is that the Defender accidently started out from the Police Station at the front & then held all the other Police Cars up
More truth in crime drama please

And none of them have shooters....
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
English cops, they only use Landrovers in the country just in case a Wallaby jumps out in front of them(or is that a roo)....
What amazes me is how many people get murdered over there, a bit like that place near Sydney, where people die daily, Summer Bay...
I am so glad I live in a murder free zone...
Probably a Wallaroo .![]()
I will sit and watch some of them some times They get a bit over the top for me , but if I am watching I love to annoy her by counting all the Land rovers and Rovers and naming and dating all the old cars like.
I love all the old British cars
They leave the Yankee crime shows for dead.
At least they don't blow the Defenders up.
Years ago my father in law fell asleep watching tele and when he woke up there were skyscrapers burning and thought it was more Yankee BS,
then he realised it was a dinkum news report.
Cheers, Mick.
