Vote for your favourite Australian bird

Australian bird of the year 2017: vote for your favourite | Environment | The Guardian

I voted for the galah, because I just like them. They remind me of cheeky, but likeable, kids.

Eastern Whipbird for me - I am lucky enough to see and hear one when at Mums place - it lives across the road in the bush but pops over to the bird bath in the front yard on quiet mornings - the guest bedroom window is only a few metres from the bird bath so I get to watch him close up taking a tub and calling which is quite rare as they are a very shy and elusive creature. One move and he’s gone on an instant - he runs like the wind back into the undergrowth across the road. 😊
