Nobody is trying to "Whitewash" history, the sins of the first settlers are well documented.
Lots of people are guilty of embellishing past events and for falsely announcing that Australia was "Invaded" and not "Settled" to promote their own political agenda though

    an interesting fact

in modern history, prior to 1928, every generation could expect to be vanquished at least once, "on average".

after 1928 that blew out to one in every three generations as the end of world war one, saw conquest rates collapse as the international legal footprint changed.

sadly china and russia are now attempting to break the shakles of that legal footprnt

    interesting times ahead maybe.

Victors of what? Of who? There WAS NO WAR!!! Bottom line: this country was settled, not invaded. There was no malice when the first settlers came. Most tried to make friends.

So say the people of British origin. Yes indeed, "WAR!!!" was not officially declared by British parliament. The fact that "WAR!!!" can be replaced with "police action", 'retribution for sheep stealing" and other spurious reasons for the killing of natives is just semantics. Native people died in much larger numbers due to "settlement" than through natural causes.

given the level of medical knowledge/ignorance back then, hard to blame anyone.

No, feel free to debate any version, but debate the issue instead of trading insults with people who hold a different view.

All of what you have said has happened in every country in the planet, yet no one else is complaining.
