    - Banning vehicle “tuner houses”, not mechanics but anyone who specialises in Remaps and performance enhancements.
    - Exhaust shops can only fit factory systems
    - Annual testing of emissions including CAT replacements (they have a limited lifespan)
    - Change Motorsport regulations to ensure all vehicles meet emissions (good luck)

Each one obviously has major repercussions on people.
Pretty much each and every one of those would be Political suicide at the moment. The problem will sort itself slowly as OEM's stop making vehicles with internal combistion engines, which most already have a date for production ceasing. In 20 years vehicle polution will start to drop I think.

    It's a big city mentality

It's the city life that stress you out so you can not and do not want to spare time for chitchat unless you seek something. You simply do not believe you have time or the neseccity to know your neighbors. Things are moving so fast they may move out tomorrow

It's the same in every big cities. Sydney is relatively small compared to other mega cities.....At least in Sydney people still smile at you when having the awkward eye contact. Try that in new York or Beijiing...

Even China is phasing out vehicles drinking dinosaur juice

I am just looking forward to my first electric 4wd with independent motors on each wheels. There won't be diffs, propshafts, transfer case, gearbox.

Just batteries, 4 motors and steering mechanism.

I'd like to see what non fossil fueled motors/batteries will be used to power tanks, warships, planes, choppers.......ad infinitum.

Should I buy Eveready shares now in anticipation.....or establish a horse breeding stable........

Surplus energy, you know, when the sun is shining brightly and the wind is blowing briskly, can be turned into synthetic fuels e.g. hydrogen, methanol etc.. Warships, well there's plenty of nuclear options. Anyway, wars will be muchly lessened when everyone stops squabbling over oil supplies in ****hole countries.

Actually I always wonder why Australia doesn't have any nuclear powerplant....

Is there a reason why? Given that Australia produce so much Uranium. I think the Fukushima plants are fuelled by Australian Uranium....And also the Brits dumped 2 dozens of their bombs in SA...

Lots of coal available for the size of the population, Oz didn't really need any nuclear plants when they were most popular. Probably too dear now. Oh and NIMBY.

And all trips offroad could be tour buses.

That would cut down hundreds of tyres on trails, reduce track damage, prevent bypasses being formed, and prevent the damage to & erosion of fire trails.

How does everyone feel about that? DPF's the end of diesel cars in cities?
I'll be right, how about you Mike?
