Wow, just read the article, the bloke was already pulling in to the spot....

Had the apprentice hold a spot on occasion but no other cars where pulling in!
When working in certain buildings we've also used bollards and/or witches hats, particularly when expecting deliveries on site during construction.

What really ****es me off is shoppers parking in loading zones or trade specified areas.
When you have a **** load of gear to carry on site and no sherpa (read apprentice) available having shoppers take all the allocated and sign posted spaces is more than annoying.
They'd also probably be the first to complain that the shopping centres air conditioning isn't working.
Oh, that's right, while you're sweating inside and whinging to management I'm still looking for a parking space!!

BTW, you can be the deliverer of karma.
Once I was waiting for a spot and a bloke drove up the carpark lane the wrong way/against the signage and pushed in front as the the car in the space I was waiting for backed out.
When confronted he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

After finding another spot my then partner couldn't believe that somehow a small rock found its way under the valve cap of a tyre so that tyre would've been flat by morning.
The only mistake is that two tyres should've been done...What would you do in this situation?

I'm my experience it is usually the tradies and the delivery trucks that park inappropriately and you have to remember that without the "Shoppers" there wouldn't be a shopping centre and you wouldn't have the job.

I used to carry a tyre value release tool in the car ash tray for these type of people. Once they had left the car would do 2 diagonal tyres in the hope they would change one before realising the other was also flat. Waste other peoples time through your arrogance I waste some of yours.

I used to go to a particular pub in Sydney to watch the agro and fights. Might start taking a bit of time at the local car park. At least booze inspired brawls are something to be half expected , but supposed sane and sober drivers verging on violence and harm for a parking spot ?
Can only think of the ridiculous notes stuck under the ambulance in England a few weeks back.

Shoppers who think it is OK to park for hours in bus stops. Then whinge when they get towed and have to pay to get their vehicles back.

I'm surprised she didn't ask them for their Induction and Construction cards.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Hmm, I'm in and out of shopping centres, big hotels etc daily and disagree.
If we don't abide by the rules for parking, loading docks, etc. centre management come down on us hard, they know who we are but some of the general public feel rather entitled and do what they please...

The cases in the UK recently where Ambos have been abused while on calls is the extreme end of that.
The most recent was a visiting doctor leaving a note when he got parked in at the ED by the ambos!
He was parked where he shouldn't have and they are trying to get emergencies into the ED when a bit of double stacking was occurring.
