Not to put to fine a point to it: Prove it. Tell me how many WRCs the cars that "spanked" them have. Tell me what ranking the Bathurst 12 Hour has internationally, and what status the teams had. You need to understand that competition has many layers. You also need to grasp just how narrow your view is. Just what is the Bathurst 12 Hour, and how is it relevant to the point in debate?
In world competition, the Evo and STi are legendary. Silly local comps don't really count. If I was asked, I would say that the greatest car ever in competition anywhere in the world would be the Ford Escort. And history would say I was correct, because it is. However, on a level playing field, ( sadly, that excludes the Bathurst 12 hour ), Lancia, Subaru and Mitsubishi hold pretty much all the titles for the last 30 years.

Hmm. I could almost believe that. Well done.
Sure. I had a 200SX ( Silvia, as I'm sure you know) which was bloody quick. Point is, e(e)vo, an Integrale was quicker, let alone a REAL STi. or a REAL Evo. I simply do not believe you had a car that was regularly quicker than a factory Evo or STi. and I would doubt you had something quicker than a factory Integrale. Important to note, Quicker ain't the same as faster. I'll accept that the Lancia is 30 years old, but the factory cars are still legendary. Maybe you could beat one over a circuit, and maybe you couldn't. Beat a factory Evo or STi? I call BS. There is no way, unless you have one and your name is Sébastien Ogier, and I don't think it is.
Oh, let's not forget; this whole little offshoot of the debate sprang from your statement about 2 litres, milk and OJ. And now you tell us about a couple of 2 Litre cars you had... Well, the WRX may have been 2.5 I guess.

Did you get out of the wrong side of the bed or something?!.....
You're getting a bit "nasty" here aren't you, just because myself & others don't agree with you? We are all entitled to our opinion. Doesn't mean that any of us in any particular situation are right or wrong, it's simply our opinion, to which we are all entitled.
Your talk of the Evo. have a look at the WRX STI of the day, VERY close in performance indeed,...it could actually come down to the driver.
Other cars,..take a look at the Audi range & see what you come up with, take a look at the Focus RS. And before you go on any more about the Evo, do a bit of research & see what was said about what it was like to get out of the car after a bit of a drive,.....go to Sydney in that or my GTSR, I know what I'd rather be in.
A9X?..owned one of them too.
I can see that you know very little (actually NOTHING) about the GTSR that we own. I bought one because I like them,...I never said it was better than anything else, I never said it was the best, better or worse than anything else,....so why all the agro?....
And talking "Yellow Car"?...Do you actually know which GTSR I'm talking about?....I think you're a little confused, and a little out of date.
Like I said, I bought my GTSR because Wifey & I like it, ...I presume you have a preference in vehicles also, but just because they may not be my cup of tea, I would not be resorting to sarcasm as you have.
Have a nice day, and whilst you're doing that, do some research. Pickles.
