Star pickets x2. One from a 2009 post from a NZ member. Go to post 9 for photos. As for rice fields near Darwin, Magpie geese ate them all, back in the day. Shot a few, couldn't bring myself to eat one because of the smell when cleaning.

I have a cottage on the shore of that side arm of the river and i have to go from the main road between those agriculrural parcels/rice fields(as the arrow points, around 5km) but the ways between them are used by big tractors and the ruts are deep ocasionally filled with water, i've got stuck 3 times in 9 years so a good percentage but i dont want to risk anymore... i'm going mainly to play with those carps

It also rains a lot but i want to go when i have free time not conditioned by the weather... i know how carps are considered at the other side of the world where the ocean is near and nobody tasted one cooked after an ancient recipe ...it's a very good sport fish cos it's a fighter

it seems that not even the chinese guys have a good impression about it even though there is the carp's origin
