    Two things of note:

    1. Overseas sales won't need GST added if the sales entity has less than $A75K turnover per annum.

    2. It's the platform that's selling the goods that the $A75K limit applies to, not the individual seller on that site. Ebay for example would then have to add the GST at the checkout, not the individual seller.

Gav, your correct my bad , it was 2016, this was the lastest from fair work.then it increases from 1st of July
What is the current national minimum wage?

The national minimum wage is currently $18.29 per hour or $694.90 per 38 hour week (before tax).
Casual employees covered by the national minimum wage also get at least a 25% casual loading.
For award and agreement-free junior employees, the percentage scale in the Miscellaneous Award 2010 is applied to the national minimum wage.

Is that the latest one? There has just been an increase, but I can't remember the details.

evilBay/PayPal is doing the Dirty Work for Australian customs... Yesterday's Hong Kong purchase. (ceramic coating, if you're curious, to finish off some re-juvenated plastic headlight covers.)

    Order total

    Subtotal AU $9.92
    Postage Free
    GST AU $0.99
    Total

    AU $10.91

Will be interesting to see if GST gets charged on my next - usa - vitamin/supplements order. Customs is preventing orders of more than 3 months per shipment. - 90 caps is fine, but a container of over '90' units is deemed to be 3 months+

That particular vendor won't allow such a sale, so obviously they've been stopped at the border before.

No, the tax man didn't want to know about it as it'll cost them more to collect than what they'll make, but certain Australian businesses lobbied certain MP's to drop the $1000 threshold, so here we are.
