No I havnt yet. In fact it hasnt been back since and I bought some cans of dog food and left them around the place and the unset trap to try and get him used to it.
They are untouched except by the magpies and the peafowl
On the bright side perhaps the owner has got wind of what I am up to and is now keeping it in at night
Images of wily coyote and roadrunner spring to mind

    The neighbours don’t either.

We now have lots of foxes and cats around, but dogs haven’t been a problem for a good few years.
Lots of foxes around here atm as well, probably highest numbers i have seen in the last 13 years.

Dogs aren't stupid for the most part, so if it were to experience some unpleasantness it'd pro'ly avoid you & your property, so hit it with a whip, cattle prod, hose pipe (water), even. I know what I'm talking about as when we were kids, we had a neighbour who's Doberman used to get out it's yard and bail us up, my Dad only it once & it never came around again. Also my Uncle didn't like friend's dogs jumping up on him/licking him, when he was visiting, so he'd pretend to pet/cuddle the dogs but pinch them surreptitiously and he reckoned after that they would avoid him.

If they are keen, they will often do the same a few weeks later.

The best deterrent i have ever seen is an electric fence,as used for horses.

Seen a few dogs get a hit from one of them, and they never ever go anywhere near the fence, even years later.

The dog we have now got a hit from one at a friends horse property years ago,and she still won't get out of the car whenever we go there, without a lot of coaxing. And then once out, won't go anywhere near that part of the property.
