    International HS2.8 emissions test

    Hello fellow enthusiasts,
Last year i bought a lovely Range Rover Classic LSE with an international tgv engine in it from another member here, and have been slowly getting it back to roadworthy condition. I’m finally at the registration stage and in the process of getting it engineered. I’ve been told the engine needs an emissions test before engineering, I’ve read through all the threads here relating to this engine and understand a number of people have imported these engines and put them in various vehicles, I’m wondering if anyone has had an emissions test on these engines done and if so might be willing to give me a copy of the certificate with the offer of some money?

    Really?

    Tell them it's a 300Tdi.
    Problem solved.

I don’t think that will work, the engineer won’t sign off unless it has the test seeing as it’s not an Oz delivery engine

It only needs to pass the emmissions standards of the year of vehicle that it is installed in so should be fine - but yes, I get it will be cheaper if someones already done this although your engineer may want to see a test from your specific engine as I'm sure generic data for that engine would be available.

I think you'll find most people have said it's a 300Tdi, and have just quoted the new engine number as they look almost alike.

Otherwise you'll need to talk to MWM International in Brazil and get a certificate.
I think they met EU1, maybe EU?

Yeah I’m pretty sure he just needs to see one test, doesn’t have to be mine specifically. I would have thought there’d be a database I could get the information, just having a bit of trouble finding information

Yeah might check up on that, having extra trouble I think because it’s been unregistered for over a year. It’s a ‘93 rangey and the engine is 2002
