    I have noticed an increase in local rabbit numbers of late tho, which the old blokes tell me is a sign of a good season to come....hope their right.

    yes, we have rabbits back for the first time in probably 18 years.. burrows all over the place down by the dry creek.

    Haven't seen a rabbit here for several years - calicivirus seems to have been pretty effective.

    The virus seems to vary area to area. Around here, the higher generally cooler areas haven’t been effected as much as the lower warmer areas.

    Yes, I understand Mr Spock is a fictional character in one of my favourite sci-fi franchises but, Dr Spock was quoted saying something to do with todays environment was not logical. Dr Spock was an expert on child rearing, not the environment.
