I made a phone call today to see where my order of catheters are that I ordered from a Sydney supplier. I am nearly out of them and only have 2 days supply left. I was told " oh we didn't send as there was no stock". Great I said, when I rang to order them they told me there were 240 in stock, so I ordered 120 of them to hopefully last me up to a month, they took my $538 payment. After waiting a week, If I hadn't phoned today , I would have been waiting for something that wouldn't turn up!
There are only 2 suppliers of these special catheters, the one in Melbourne and one in Sydney, The Melbourne one I had purchased from before but they are dearer, and when I try to ring them they don't answer the phone and recorded message says there is a queue.
The Sydney mob said they were sorry and would send them out today. I told the lady if I don't get them in the next couple of days I can't empty my bladder and will have to go and seek help at the emergency dept at a hospital.
I rang the manufacturers Australian office and spoke to a contact I have there, he was concerned about how there resellers are behaving and is going to send me some samples to help me out whilst I wait for my delivery. He appreciated the feedback I gave him..Unfortunately there are no other distros I can go to, this duopoly , so the customer service is not priority it seems.
In the mean time I have to cross my legs and hopefully not explode.
