They're very busy reading up on the latest FUD stories! Don't worry, they'll be back, with new quotes from old shouty men.

Q3 production is 80,000 vehicles and 83,500 deliveries which is above target. Shareholders and backers are happy. Tesla seems to be going well. They will weather Musk not being Chairman. Tesla runs rings around all the other electric vehicles and some manufacturers are still promising electric vehicles "soon".

The official Tesla Q3 figures showed the previous estimate of 21,000 model 3s produced in August was correct. They are turning out 4-5,000 model 3s a month. Electric vehicles are here.

    I meant 4-5000 a week, of course.

I'm not denying electric vehicles are here, I think Tesla will be swamped by the Euro manufacturers in this field within 2 years now. I hope Tesla stay in business and become profitable - which they aren't at the moment and being propped up, but I don't have an issue with that while they establish themselves. This topic is about Musk and what a turd he is. These topics can be mutually exclusive however most Tesla fanboys are also Musk fanboys whereas I'm not. I like EV, I have no issues with Tesla as a company if they can produce EV's profitably but I do have an issue with Musk who scams money from everyone he can for his crackpot ideas which he wastes while Tesla (according to some) is still on the knife edge as far as long term survival goes.

Tesla's major problems have little to do with Musk. Just look around - how many new, startup, car manufacturers are there that have come from nothing in the last fifty years, except for those with massive government support and protection. (Which Tesla does not have, and is unlikely to get)

The car manufacturing scene has changed massively in the last fifty years - but there are not many new names - and the names that are new are mostly existing manufacturers from countries that used not to export. Certainly ownership has changed a lot, but far more have disappeared than new ones have succeeded. Plenty of new ones have appeared - and then disappeared. Tesla is ahead of most in that they have actually delivered a significant number of cars!

The Tesla official figures quoted above say Tesla's major problem is they are being priced out of the world's largest market for EVs, which is China, because of Chinese tariffs on American imports imposed in response to American tariffs on Chinese imports. Seems like an own goal by the Americans, to me.

Yeah, no question that the tariff war is just like shooting yourself in the foot.
