We have only had one strange person who was hiding behind some bushes watching as we went to bed but nothing like this guy.
I was thinking id start packing up to move and use my tyre valve tool to loosen his valves at the rear while moving around the car.
Then just hammer it off the beach and go to plan B. Problem for me doing that is i have a red defender. Not many of those around.
Never provoke unless your willing to back that **** up mate.

Reminds me of a camping experience i had perhaps a year ago now.
In Boolarra on the river there. Get a spot about 250 metres from another spot a guy was already at. But a different spot. Different entrance and trees covering between.
When i was setting up he rode past on his 4 wheeler and looked like he was having words while riding past, i took little attention.
Few hrs later gun shots and bullets ringing past me, yep the ***** was shooting at me. He let go about 6 shots before he stopped.
Gotta admit i was alone that night and had no firearms myself so felt a bit out of my comfort zone so decided to pack up and leave.

I dont hate the guy for shooting in my direction. I just wish i had the chance to shoot back.

Resort to violence or suck it up like they had to.
I probably would have moved as not a big deal but an elaborate camp makes it harder.
It pretty common though, we find it all the time in free camp areas.
Same cruising with the yacht around the pacific islands. Anchor up in a nice bay and some twit comes and anchors off right beside you when there is heaps of room. Drove us nuts.

It's a Land Rover thing. No really.
Haven't you noticed when one Discovery, RaRo, Deafener et al parks in a Supermarket Car Park & when you come out there is usually a couple of other LR products parked close by. It's as if they get lonely or scared or have a touch of the heeby jeebees (ie. Enochlophobia or Agoraphobia) & need company. Not the driver, the vehicles.

I once was camped alongside a river and there was about 300 metres of trimmed grassed (by kangaroos) along the river. I was the only person there. A couple arrived, drove right down the site and then returned and set up camp next to me. I didn't say anything as I was leaving the next day.

In the end, it was good he did. His camping gear was brand new and the gas bottle had a different fitting to his new stove - one was Primus (RH thread I think) the other was the other popular small but LH thread - so I had to lend them my stove to cook their dinner.

    Hi,
Go out and greet them ringing your little brass bells, saying (spooky voice helps here) that the spirits told you he would come, and invite him over to a séance later that evening.
    Cheers

Back in the 1980's we were camped on one of the big holes on a Western Qld. River. Popular spot but no ranger or caretaker. One would put some money into a box on the gate post. Mostly older couples and family units. A large group arrived just on dusk. Ferals by the hair and tatts. They proceeded to loudly party and got louder and ruder. Sign at the gate asked for no noise after 10.00 pm. Still cranking up the noise well after 10.00. A couple of guys went and asked them to turn it down and were told to **** of as they had come there to party. A bit later towards midnight one fed-up camper went down and shut up the boom box with a 12 gauge. This shut down the party nicely.
