What a funny old country we live in. 41c a couple of days ago & a 'forecast' 11c in a day or so.![]()
I 'phoned friends in Warrnambool to ask how they were coping with the heat. "What heat" was the reply. It got up to 29 and then a cool change came and 'twas 21 late afternoon. I said that the forecast for Melbourne was 42. She replied that it serves people right for living there.

The highest I saw in Melbourne was 48C on the dash of a BMW 735 the day of the dust storm in 1980? which was the day? before the Ash Wednesday fires. (memory not the best on exactitudes from 38 years ago)
