Im seriously thinking of getting one of these even though we’ve go the caravan.
Just thinking it’d be good to just pull up and “hook in” to something when arriving somewhere, even with the van,, and then there’s the cold day trips to think about. Who’s given their Travel Buddy a run.....
Insulated door is an aftermarket accessory made by Australian Made Stainless Steel Oven Trays for Travel Buddy ovens

Owners of road chef and kickarse, both copied travel buddy have insulated door as standard.

I don’t reckon the insulated door is required if it’s not in harms way.

Good little investment.....we enjoy putting dinner on st 1pm and pulling up lamb shanks and veg. One less hassle on long days.

    Yeah watch the comparo

If I hadn’t already owned one it would lead you to buying the road chef.

But as an owner of a travel buddy and having cooked at least 12 meals (I.e. not re heated pies) the claims and assumptions the road chef has over the travel buddy I don’t see in real life testing.

Either way, I’m happy I purchased the Aussie developed unit....

I get things get copied but they could have changed it up a bit more.

Yeah pretty rude being a complete rip off right down to the dimensions and parts, i'd buy the Travel Buddy if i was buying one. Looking at how the element just rests against the cabinet i'm not surprised how long they take to heat up, another element on the top would aide efficiency you'd think.

Tried something new today as a tester for our next trip.

Distructions said 40min, which I normally double, pulled it out at 70min. Could have been in bit longer.

Either way tasty dinner at the cricket.

No cleaning required for the oven tray

Upgraded last nights curry for lunch. Wacked it in the oven while we summited Mt Tempest

    Epic fail yesterday.....

Got a little cocky with my egg in curry all staying in place

Started likes this....by the end of middle rd it had destroyed the kitchen. 1hr to clean up......than I was making tuna and salad wraps.

Should have listened to the bride.

    No pics of the mess
