In cases like that they usually have a notice will not ship to Australia .I suspect it has more to do with ebay global shipping program as on amazon they say will ship to Aus

Nope. Its the lithium ion Battery. These days they can't generally be shipped by airfreight, because of the potential to self ignite. If you fly now most airlines expect you to pack your lithium ion batteries and devices where they are sealed in (eg phones) into your hand carry on.Originally Posted by weeds

I was mainly referring the the actual sale, it appears to be the seller wasn’t allowed to sell into Aus.

New or old it doesn’t matter with Li Ion batteries and shipping.
As for eBay’s response I read it to mean it’s a restricted item for air freight which is what eBay uses for its global shipping program.

Going on some research i did today.Labelled dangerous goods and individually packed they can be shipped With ebay sellers not using ebay global shipping willing to post to Aus

SupporterGImme the saws and 30 seconds and I'll demonstrate the petrol saw in WAY faster. Look how dark and rock hard the log it is cutting is next to the green electric saws log. Swap saw over and the electric will be way slow.
Sure it'll still be a great saw..... The electric saw doesn't have the chain speed, so they aren't as fast. I have a plug in electric saw here. For a cheap dinky little toy, its bloody brilliant. I'd never say it's faster than any quality 60cc petrol saw though!

After owning an electric mower and whipper snipper, I'll never go back to petrol, even though it's only the little Ryobi 18v stuff. Just way too easy to use, and my wife and 9yo can start it! My yard is only fairly small though. Mind you the first whipper snipper I inherited was crap (even only had 1 line, making it tedious and unbalanced!), so I replaced it with it's brushless big brother, and the difference was chalk and cheese. Coupled with charging via my camper solar, makes it very cheap to run, and virtually no maintenance.
I noticed they now also have a brushless 18v chainsaw, which I demoed at Bunnings, and it runs way faster than my original brush version. Was tempted to replace it, but I only use mine a couple of times a year, and after 7 years I've cut countless fireplace logs and the chain seems to cut as good as when I bought it. Possibly the low cutting speed slows down the blunting process.
