You are just inviting ripostes from people who will point out the role of the Guardian and ABC.

This thread has degenerated into a he said/she said and IMHO is contributing nothing to the forum which is a Land Rover forum .

The posting of articles from "news" sources that are common knowledge is also discouraged.

I understand where you are coming from, but disagree with enforced censorship, and all that entails.

The irony of all of this seems lost on people...

The upper echelon still have a lot to lose if the planet goes pear shaped!

No workers = No productivity
No Productivity = No profit
No environment = Trapped in environmentally controlled environments

Unless the upper Echelon has some sort of environmental bubble to live out their days

And then how will they build, maintain, operate it?


We all need people in lesser positions to maintain life. Just as we need Chinese people making cheap stuff for us, those better off than us - need us!

The Elite have gotten there by one (usual) route, greed for 'possessions' as the benchmark of success.. trampling over their underlings in reaching the peak of the heap .and trappings of perceived position in Society.

But Happiness depends on 3 things, none of which are 'cheap goods'.
1) A personally satisfying role in life,, such as a significant or useful job, paid or not.
2) Someone to love.
3) Something to look forward to and to help make happen...a Vision of the Future.

Or, Self respect that comes from being of value.., putting others first, all driven by a passion to maintain / improve the circumstances.

Anyone got a better definition of Volunteers. ?

Infinite growth from finite resources is the fallacy modern economics has foistered on us.
Our entire economic system needs an overhaul.

Then we have 'geniuses' like Elon Musk and Jack Ma saying the world needs more people????
There will be wars very soon across the world over water, it's starting to happen in Africa and Asia.
They are geniuses at making money within the current system, nothing more

Thought we’d been over this plenty of times. The censorship performed by Mods and Admins isn’t to stop someone having their say and only showing one side to a story or anything, but to keep the place running as harmoniously as possible so as many can enjoy it as possible. To that end, Politics and Religion - the 2 most devisive subjects you can think of - are banned from discussion in the general forums. YOU KNOW THIS, so your comment Above itself is meant to elicit a response. Take your article to CA where it can be posted and discussed, not here. No one is forcing you to be here, but when you are, you - like everyone else - is expected to play by the rules - this place isn’t a democracy you know.
