Well, I'm thinking that, if push came to shove, I'd be more tempted to take my chances in Oz, with an average temp of 35°-40°, without support, rather than trying to survive in Siberia, with an average of -5°, without support.
I could put up with a couple of weeks in the high 40°s but, how long would I last in Siberia in January, with the average -25°? 5 minutes?

Australia's bush fires are expected to comprise about 20% of global emissions this year, predicted to total about 2.74ppm, one of the largest annual rises on record, as measured in Hawaii since 1958, down from 3.5ppm last year, according to the UK Met Office.
Carbon dioxide is expected to peak at 417ppm. Governments pledged to limit global heating to 1.5 degrees, but have underperformed and the likely increase is now predicted to be 3 degrees. If we hit 450ppm there will be major consequences.

Australian bushfires will cause jump in CO2 in atmosphere, say scientists

    New IBM battery news.

Sounds interesting, more so for the fact that the parties involved here are big name brands, not some schmuck in a garage that has figured out another perpetual motion system or something.

Will be interesting to hear what it's all about.

OK, not strictly about climate in and of itself, but pertinent all the same, as we know that the major issue with renewables is going to be storage, not generation.

eg. the thought of paying 8K or so for a useless 'powerwall' only to have it rendered pretty much useless by the time it's paid itself off, which I then have to pay for again due to capacity depletion ... err nup!
There's no enviro commonsense in that rotating door of silliness .. power storage at this level needs to be measured in multiple decades, not a couple of years or so.

So IBM reckon the potential key to future energy storage may be salt water. My guess is going to be Sodium based or something like that.

Bad news the Atomic Scientists have moved the clock from 2 mins to midnight 100 secs for the very two reasons you wrote of or should that be wrote off in your cyber attack? Nuclear and Climate threats.

Doomsday Clock - Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

"Humanity continues to face two simultaneous existential dangers—nuclear war and climate change—that are compounded by a threat multiplier, cyber-enabled information warfare, that undercuts society’s ability to respond."

Firesticks. And Cultural burning. The indigenous voice must have a place in Land Management. And Europeans must make an attempt to learn, and understand.

The reality was that the only reason for consensus on nuclear disarmament was based purely on a cost basis for those world powers. Wasn't going to benefit them in any way to blow the world up 100 times over vs 10 times over ... so to cut cost they agreed to some limitations. Fact still remains tho that they have the capacity to blow the world up 10x over and again, and yet still here we are!
Well, I think it's much better to get information from the experts, instead of random social media musings. Some info for you.

It is neither interesting nor disturbing.

It is so clearly a one sided argument.

She even appears to be trying to perpetuate the nonsense that the number of fires started by arsonists proves something about climate change.

I found this information about hazard reduction in NSW National Parks surprising.

Has NSW seen more than twice the amount of prescribed burning this decade compared with the last? - Fact Check - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

It seems that the facts are the exact opposite of what the majority of people have come to believe.
