I've never argued either for or against ... only pointing out the inaccuracies of the 'for campaigners' that always seem to pass through to the keeper without proper scrutiny.

The major issue at stake with 'cleaning up our act' tho is that those that can least afford to pay for it will end up paying more than their fair share of this cost!
And those that 'created it' or perpetuate it, will be the ones that will get richer from this impending cost burden.

That infographic video thingie deals with 'maximums'.
I assume that historic values in the graph were taken from a well known source, not an unreasonable assumption if the person distributing the info is credible themselves.
Beyond the 6 sec mark it then shows expected maximum temps that 'someone' believes that Adelaide will endure for the rest of the century.

The video is titled distribution of maximum temperatures for the year.
I searched for the available maximum temps in the Adelaide area in the 4 closest and most relevant stations data, just to see how they related to what was shown in the video.

It's a bit pointless talking about maximums, which might only occur occasionally.
Much more useful to focus on averages.
And we know the planet's average is already up more than one degree in the last century, mostly in the last half century. That's just fact.
We also know the conservative predictions are we will fail to limit the rise to 1.5 degrees because governments like ours haven't done enough.
We also know the rise is likely to be about 3 degrees by 2100, and some say even higher.
And we know how much harm such a rise will do.
So why wouldn't we limit emissions? It's just sensible and rational behavior.

I don't think I have to worry - I'll be dead by 2100.

Amazing how we just blame governments for it all.
Governments are bodies to represent the people - therefore the state we’re in is a result of the demand of the people.

But sometimes we also need to lobby to get people to see what's happening.
