Our coal is much cleaner - by proxy a reduction in emissions occurs. Similar to making a modern vehicle more efficient - still polluted but at a lesser volume.

Step changes are critical - to produce some of these outcomes - plants making phenomenal volumes of PV and batteries etc - can require serious power.

Until we can find employment/industry for the 10s of thousands of people these industries support we must work on all aspects.

The country will suffer greatly Socially and Economically if this isn’t done right.

Perhaps yours is. US mexicans in Neck to Knee togs have dirty wet brown coal not the Black stuff

Always question these creations sent by friends.
Usually very inaccurate info.

eg. Japan HAD plans for 50 new coal power stations in 2012, but by 2017 have scrapped at least 13 of them.
My guess is some are too deep into the development stage so some will be built, but there's a good chance that as many as possible will not.
Japan has plans for a lot of off shore wind warm developments, and a large drop in total electricity production over the next decade too.

Dunno about the other regions in that list, but more than likely most will be red lighted.

So it's the same syndrome as the climate alarmists .. facts and claims don't always correlate.

That has been a factor like Forever, Nothing new about it.and just because scientists have put a name to something doesn't mean that it is something new or is a cause of climate change.
BOM telling people that Summer is going to be dry and hot is akin to telling them that when the sun goes down it is going to get dark.

cant trust those BOM outlooks. one from a few winters ago. it said prepare for a below average rainfall winter. they got it wrong, very very wrong. wettest year on record for many places in the adelaide hills.
