I'm not denying that we need to clean up our act. You've just got to smell the exhaust from those sixties, et al, automobiles compared to current vehicles to appreciate how far we've advanced.

I doubt that humankind has enough data to determine how this planet is affected by rotating around the galaxy.

The*galactic year, also known as a*cosmic year, is the duration of time required for the*Sun*to*orbit*once around the*center*of the*Milky Way Galaxy.[1]*Estimates of the length of one orbit range from 225 to 250 million terrestrial years.[2]*The Solar System is traveling at an average speed of 230*km/s (828,000*km/h) or 143*mi/s (514,000*mph) within its trajectory around the galactic center,[3]*a speed at which an object could circumnavigate the Earth's equator in 2 minutes and 54 seconds; that speed corresponds to approximately 1/1300 of the speed of light.

I believe from what’s being said; even if we do drastic measures we’re into the cycle too deep and it will now need to play itself out over time.

I have absolutely NO doubt that the climate IS slowly changing BUT I do have my doubts that CO2 emissions are the SOLE or even the Main reason for the change AND that even if we cut emissions to Zero everything will return to normal.
It is my understanding that the earths climate has ALWAYS been in a process of change, Maybe this current change is inevitable Regardless of our efforts to clean up our act (which is a GOOD thing in itself)
All the posturing and acts of public disobedience by climate activists and politicians is totally pointless IF this change is Inevitable.
Maybe we should be "Future Proofing" and making changes to adapt to these changes instead of using all that energy finger pointing and expecting someone else to sort out the problem for us.

I wonder if 100 years is slow. I guess Gran and Grandpa might think not

I do find one part of this chart concerning.

    Based on climatology 1961-1990.
So the entire dataset is based off of a 30 year period average.

Records go back far further and need to be normalised to show the same algorithm used now. That will be a true dataset.

Its hard to impossible to find a way to look at it which doesn't show the same upward and alarming trend. Fully agree with data from such periods having to be considered as technology and recording methods changed.

One thing I am sure of is that temperature records by BOM and other sources before they existed

"The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is an Executive Agency of the Australian Government responsible for providing weather services to Australia and surrounding areas. It was established in 1906 under the Meteorology Act, and brought together the state meteorological services that existed before then."

BOM was established to record and forecast for our largely agricultural industry "Federation came to Australia in the middle of a long and terrible drought. The weather was much on the minds of determined nation builders. If Australia was to take full possession of the continent, then the cruelties of its climate would have to be conquered. Meteorology, it was hoped, would help the new nation to fulfill its destiny." Link Fascinating reading about it

Climate skeptics are skeptical of course. I doubt many other than conspiracy theory freaks suspect BOM data is fraud?

Cautious would be a better description.

The way temperature has been measured has been subject to multiple methods - as interpreting the data across wider areas used varying algorithms.

Variation of these means we’re comparing Red Apples with Green Apples. Both Apples although different.

There have been 2 periods at least where this has occurred - it also occurred in the global climate measures.

Put simply - If the old data is converted to the new format the results change. If those charts had standardised data over the life of the data it would be far better.

I use statistical measure significantly at work and without telling any lies or false data I can make my messaging show.

Whilst not denying anything it’s highly probable that this can also be messaged to drive Economic and Industrial change. Doesn’t need false data to be able to present a message.

Would just be nice if the absolute, real, raw information was available for the public.
