We see 40c+ here on consecutive days during Summer on a regular basis and have been seeing them here for decades, Absolutely NOTHING "New" about this.
"Blistering heat is a hallmark of summers in the west but this season has escalated much earlier than usual."

"Perth recorded its earliest December day above 40C on December 3, peaking at 41.6C in what was its hottest first week of summer on record.
The city has never recorded more than two 40C days in December, but that record will be challenged this week."

I think the point they are making is that it is happening earlier than usual.

Here's some actual science about bushfire emissions.

Australia's bushfires have emitted 250m tonnes of CO2, almost half of country's annual emissions

Forests are regarded as a store – or sink – for carbon, by taking up CO2 as they grow and storing it as carbon in branches and soils.

I wonder if the Brazilians have been told this?

Rainforests cover almost 60% of the entire area of Brazil at 477 698 000 hectares, which is equivalent to 1 844 394 square miles or just under 3 million square kilometres. This means that Brazil is home to a third of the world's rainforests, making it one of the most intriguing and beautiful lands on earth.

Fair enough, mate but this is not normal.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

With respect, we have to stop using excuses to justify our inaction.

What about the Curry? Beef, Lamb, Fish, Vegetable, Rat etc etc etc

Depends if you crush your own or use Vencatachellum.

It's not a real curry unless it's hot and spicy.

If you go Thai, ask for a real version of this one.
Tip: water won't be enough to soothe your throat - ask for milk. Climate Change and our Land of Fire, Flood and Drought.
