Not selective, just the first part of their post so as not to bore the crap out of people.

It’s part of the climate model they can not accurately predict. Too complex for them.

I would suggest next years fire season will be a mild one.

    Kind'a sorta agree.
My main gripe is (apart from the hysteria) .. is more about who cares what's causing it. Lets just accept that humans cause it .. really, who cares.
More to the point .. is why we worry so much about fixing what's still a natural evolution(irrespective of the point that humans are causing it).
Other life forms have caused climate change over the billions of years the earth has been an earth.

This is my argument .. don't care what's happening nor why .. how is this going to impact anything(in real life terminology .. not hysteria driven rhetoric!) .. do we need to adapt, if we don't what happens .. etc.

But the fact still remains .. earth climate has changed pretty much continuously for eons, long before any humanoid species lived, and will long after we're all gone .. etc.
But during all the time since any humanoid lifeforms, and while the climate had changed, they always progressed.
And our current understanding of history .. the ice ages were always the changes that caused more hardship than any warming stage.

So once again, if there is any proof that climate change is going to cause our extinction in any way .. would really love to read about it(but not some hypothetical hyperbole garbage again! )
Actual historical evidence that shows that during the warming phase change, civilisation(s) became extinct.
    Arthur.

And I'm going to predict that this years average temp values will be quite a bit lower than previous 3-5 years too.
Interesting that so far in Jan, we're (here in Melb) struggling to hit mid 30's temps. The forecasts get continually revised .. lower and lower each week to 3 day period.
Mid last week, we were looking at mid to high 30's yesterday(Mon 13th) through to tomorrow(15th), by weekend, they revised Mon to 29(not 33 as they initially predicted) and 33 for Tue(today) and 34 on Wed(tomorrow).
So far till the 23rd, Melb maxes are in the mid 20's .. not a single 35 or more in sight yet(and I get the feeling it ain't either) .. in the month most notorious for hitting 40's(historically speaking) .. it's looking pretty grim argument for the climate change extremists.

Of course Mr Tombs you are presuming that there will be something left to burn?

Exactly. There has now been a massive, all be it, horrendous and uncontrollable burn off.
New growth will begin and there will be little fuel to feed anything next year.

Having said that, if they don’t keep on top of it like the previous 10 years it will build up again and we will end up with a repeat of this season in 2030.

Exactly a point I raised way back. Have a look at the CFS Maps they put out with the online Fire Warnings, the Adelaide Hills for instance seem to be populated with 'Cons & Rec Parks'. Does anyone use them???

The other problem is of course is what Wild Life, birds reptiles etc etc etc will exist then? Nothing to feed on or water to drink. Reported that birds are falling out of the sky, not directly caused by the fires with burnt wings (??) but they are too weak to stay in the air & it appears the larger animals are devouring the smaller ones as there is nothing for them either.
