Saw the doctor again today. She reports it has cleared up nicely. There is only very slight residual pain, more just a bit sensitive there. I read that you check in four months for ongoing issues!

But while there I told her I had noticed that my ankles tend to swell by the evening (I've been paying more attention to my body over the last week!) - so she got me to provide blood and urine samples. I already had an appointment with a cardiologist on Friday this week, and it will mean he will have these results then.

As I was declared non-infectious I went and saw my sister who is in a nursing home. I did not go there last week when I was in town, on medical advice.

Glad you're out of pain John. It is debilitating and mentally exhausting.

Thanks. I am not entirely out of pain - I still have the pain from the last lot of shingles eighteen years ago, my sciatica, my arthritis, and the knee I fell on a few weeks ago!

Yes, as someone I was talking to yesterday commented - "too many birthdays".
