Yeah let's help those who need help. Get rid of the employment restart agents.

Roll out cashless welfare card nationwide. And also mandatory drug test.

I think no body thinks welfare is not necessary. It's just I don't think we are entitled to tax payer funded entertainment

Clearly tax payers are currently paying for the entertainment of private so-called 'job provider organisations', with little of these resources actually going to jobseekers.

A living wage for all Australians earning under $150k per year would totally nullify this, create much more of a level playing field, and save tax payers money.

    It's a ruthless world for a so-called social democracy.

The vulnerable are easy targets and have their meagre income completely cut off if they miss an appointment!
Whilst the so-called 'job active' providers would no doubt be receiving a tax payer funded fee for each.

There are examples of people having their benefits cut off because they missed an appointment because they were seeking a job or were studying at TAFE.

I don't know much but I believe welfare should not be considered as a source of income.

In that sense welfare payment is not a good idea. Welfare should be about meeting basic need, the minimal of a wellbeing, I.e. food and shelter.

Let's be honest, welfare payment for not working have impact on all of us. It affects our work incentives

It affects me as the tax is high. The more I work the less I got paid, reducing my incentives to produce.

It affext those who are on newatart obviously. Not to mention the work credit system, where
for every dollar the unemployment benefit recipient earns the payment is decreased by an equivalent amount.* as if they got "punished" by working

I am not against support for the vulnerable. But the idea of welfare as a source of income that they "should" get a.ka "their money" makes me a but uncomfortable......

    Cheers

So for example , the taxpayers contributing to the private education system is ok ? Or the politicians pay increases ? I bet they are worth a good chunk of the welfare bill

    No it's not okay.

I don't know why you would think that would be the case.

Or you are just practicing your "Trump speach" skills

But we should start with an easy fight first. Squeeze those who can work but not working at the moment.

For one I don’t always articulate what I am thinking properly, but I find it wrong to continue the kicking of the dole , when such things as private education is subsided by my taxes. I am cool for my tax contribution Togo to the dole , even though I have not been able to qualify .
