Curiosity got the better of me re The Citroen C4 Cactus. Nearly wet my undies.
.................. Cactus. Cactus Fuctus does not go down well at all in OZ.

I bet I'm not the only one here to ponder that little howler.

The French surrendered early so that Paris and all of it's art and buildings wouldn't be destroyed. Very strategic surrender, placing cultural artifacts above French military pride.

The French didn't have much alternative but to surrender in WWII after the German Panzers did a loop around their defences and headed for Paris.

They worked pretty hard to stick it out in Vietnam. Lost, but didn't exactly surrender.
Less well known than the British evacuation of Dunkirk are the French that held the German Army back so the Brits could evacuate.

Two interesting videos on the French.

hmmmm .... hydraulic instead of air suspension?

I once drove a DS, loved it. Idiot .. should have bought it.
The Peugeots I've had dealings with have all been nice to drive for what they were too.
Just as reliable as any other car too.

Brits just have to get over their fear of frenchness!

The Cactus was a good laugh too tho.
    Arthur.

All these discos are giving me a heart attack!
