Exactly John, it's not about safety, it's about revenue raising. Anyone who has done a workplace induction in the past twenty, or more, years will have been instructed that if you see a danger, "STOP THE JOB" it's a duty of care. Do the governments and police forces not have the same obligation?

Just a few cars with no seatbelts taking part at this weekend's Prescott Hillclimb The jewel in the crown of vintage car meets. There's 7+ hours of cars to watch, the ERA's and quick stuff is around the 7hour 23 minute mark

Thanks, Jerry. You do realise that I'm now going to waste seven hours of my life, because of you.

But I stayed up really late watching it live not knowing you could view the whole event this morning I only watch the odd bit of Goodwood on facebook

The last time I was at Prescott was probably in 2000 with a very young Joseph (now 27) in tow, the good old days when you could buy a Riley Special for sensible money

Ah, yes. My phone. I shall check it as soon as it is located. I am awaiting Helen's return as I type, so she may assist in the matter.

I have rung three times, in the hope that it would assist in the location of said device, to no avail. Check under the tractor tyre.
I think Helen's trying to phone you, she needs assistance. You're in trouble.

As a bike and motorcycle rider and dare I mention road runner Seatbelts are seldom seen on me

Triva is I do like safety and do keep my seat belt on at all times when on planes !!!!!

Triva is why I keep my seat belt on at all times on planes!

Hercules aircraft are magnificent beasts. I joined the navy not the air force yet did get onto a Hercules from Perth To Melbourne stopping in Adelaide. It was SLOW and Loud and seats where fold up chairs along the sides not in rows across like those soft jets most fly on

Our kit bags were strapped onto three pallets and then loaded onto the plane in the middle of us. One Dunny had a Curtin around it for a little privacy. It was a green shower curtain like thing.

Revision required Hercules aircraft are magnificent ROUGH as Guts beasts.

While one of my crew sat on the dunny with NO seat belt we hit a HUGE air pocket and anyone not strapped in hit the roof literally! My mate on the dunny floated up and to the roof with his pants down and other bits following!

He had a soft landing happily as he came down on the kit bags. Very happy to mention my kit bag was not on top and I did have my seat belt on so did not take the sudden Flying lesson inside that magnificent r of a Hercules

Several others did get injured by that event. Not to badly happy to say. Seat belts can be very useful when the **** hits the roof or the proverbial fan!

You are so innocent and naive

That might have been the event that got ramp riding on Hercs banned.
