This news about the new coin prompted a discussion on coins here (I have grandkids at the moment), and I told the 18yo he could look through what is in the safe. He was staggered to find a cylindrical aluminium pill box full of circular 50c coins. Or to be more accurate, was staggered to find that they were 50c - he thought they were 20c until I told him to look at the number on the back.

big nose to appear on $1 coin

this is totally useless but the royal mint has released it's first coin with the kings head on it, being a $1 coin.

dont know whether to get a few from the bank for my collection, suppose I should get some 2023 his and hers if there are 2023 hers.

Well, his tenure ( not sure 'reign' is the right word for him ) will be briefer than his mum's. There'll probably only be one pic.

Yep, at a time in life when most people have retired, he has just started his first job!

Pretty sure the tyres on his training wheels would be down to the canvas.

One of the girls at work did a tandem sky dive at Cairns before returning to work. She was still wide eyed and bushy tailed, bouncing of the walls nearly 3 days later.
I think Gran wanted to ensure her new Coiffure would stand up to the visiting & Boisterous grand kids.

    How old or how much?

220 ride.jpg Marathon next week so what to do for the slow running two weeks prior? Was 220km around the bay in a day sensible?

Trivia is an 86 year old did it as well, On the ferry from Queenscliff to Point Nepean (Port Phillip Bay heads) Sat beside a 83 year old!

Other Trivia was the man in the Middle did it and he is blind. His Pilot on the tandem bike is a good mate. I appointment myself Wingman for the ride Navys Fleet air arm is up again???

My kids think I am nuts as planning a few 10km runs this week starting today.

PS I am a runner not a rider and my only other ride in the last several months was a few weeks ago. That I admit is a bit nuts

    Toyota, how reliable?

Due to a "fail to proceed" event in the Range Rover, I had to resort to borrowing a Rav 4. Happy to report the wipers were faultless, despite the lack of precipitation. The wipers were tested at every intersection.
