Hi,
Some are so impaired that they can't see/hear/feel an approaching train .
Sold the BMW about 2 years ago and still (or) don't miss it depending on the weather.
Cheers
Bikes were for a different time, IMO. I loved mine as well. But, when my son was considering one I tried to tell him... I drive a truck that is 26 metres long, 4.6 metres high, and 2.5 metres wide. I drive it with the lights on, day and night. And still people will pull out, or suddenly stop, or U turn directly in front of me. What hope would you have on an almost invisible motorcycle? And throw in Melbourne in July. Nope.

Super ModeratorI've had my license for 30 years. When I got back from the middle east in 2009 I spent time watching the drivers and I've not really ridden since. In Dubai I used to ride to and from the race track. Here I'm not even game to do that, and "they" are clinically insane. I lost 2 mates while I was overseas. One was a lunatic and had it coming. The other was "Mr Safety" and the most over-cautious rider I ever met. He still couldn't compete with a dickhead in a V8 ute running a stop sign.

Sir Christopher Lee's military career is still shrouded in mystery.
The untold story of Sir Christopher Lee is set to be revealed in an upcoming documentary film.
The Life and Deaths of Christopher Lee features interviews with friends, family members and famous directors.
Jon Spira, from Headington, Oxford, had access to Lee's scrapbooks and 100 interviews from the British Film Institute's library.
The filmmaker tells the BBC the actor's life was an "incredible story" waiting to be told.
Lee starred in more than 250 films across eight decades, including the Hammer Horror, James Bond, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars franchises.
But as Spira's film explains, he had a military career during World War Two still shrouded in mystery, and helped track down Nazi war criminals.
"Because he could speak fluently a range of different languages he got pulled into the secret service doing missions of which the facts have never fully come out," Spira explains.
"His cousin was Ian Fleming and a lot of people think the character of James Bond was based on him.
"He certainly didn't do anything to disavow people of that.
"You could almost do this as two films. That's why we called it The Life and Deaths of Christopher Lee, because his life is one story and his career is another."
Did you know that Sir Christopher Lee was...
1 Born into Italian aristocracy
2 A witness to the last public execution by guillotine
3 Introduced to Rasputin's assassins as a boy
4 A swordsman in an Errol Flynn film
5 The only person in the Lord of the Rings films to have met JRR Tolkien
6 An expert knife thrower
7 The oldest person to get on the Billboard music charts (with a Heavy Metal album)
A bit of omg trivial information or not!
That's the thing for me. Maybe I'm just old, but on a bike you can't compete, full stop. Even a Toyota Yaris is going to win that contest.
I used to hate having bikes near me in the truck too. You have no idea they are coming, but if they ( or I, for that matter ), make an error in judgement there's no getting up and dusting themself off if they tangle with a Double. Yet they seem to want to try.
