Might be a misprint and his name is Al Paca or even Al Packer.

Doing a little research on Data centres. Lots are being built in Melbourne as we apparently have a good power supply

UAE recently made the BIG Melbourne builds look like mice sized

"The planned "Stargate UAE" AI data centre in Abu Dhabi is projected to have immense power requirements. Here's a breakdown based on available information:

    • Initial Phase (2026): The first phase is expected to consume 1 gigawatt (GW) of power. This alone is equivalent to the electricity usage of approximately 700,000 homes.
    • Full Capacity: Once fully operational, the entire 10-square-mile campus is anticipated to have a data centre capacity of 5 gigawatts (GW). This massive power consumption is comparable to that of several mid-sized US cities combined.

    Key Points:

    • This extraordinary power demand reflects the energy-intensive nature of advanced AI infrastructure.
    • The facility is expected to house around 100,000 Nvidia chips in its initial phase, highlighting the high density of power-hungry processing units.
    • The project signifies a substantial portion of the surging global demand for AI infrastructure and the increasing concentration of AI computing capacity.

The UAE is also focusing on sustainability in its data centre development, with initiatives exploring renewable energy sources like solar power and energy-efficient cooling technologies to mitigate the environmental impact of these power-intensive facilities."

The trivial reason I was interested was of course my interest in Electricity and power supply for overseas NOT here

UAE recently had Korea built " Barakah Nuclear Power Plant" Its 4 Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR). The 4 APR-1400 Generation III+ design based on the Korean OPR-1000 and incorporates features from the US Westinghouse new design.

The trivia but not trivial other bit is other BIG data centres are being built in the UAE

It's estimated that approximately 50% to 80% of the nitrogen found in human bodies can be traced back to the Haber-Bosch process.

I wonder if that is because it is used in the manufacture of fertiliser. Good old Fritz!

Choices or NOT insurance comparison services

    "In short:

The corporate regulator has launched legal action against insurance comparison provider ######### for allegedly misleading customers through its services.
ASIC alleges insurer ######### paid ########## about $61 million in commissions from 2019 to solely advertise its products.
    What's next?

ASIC says if the Federal Court finds ############ has misled customers, it will seek "substantial penalties"."

Have to love choice IF it really is one

Q: What do "teacup" pigs and unicorns have in common?

My pig Matilda was about 300kg. Gave me a great deal of pocket money when I was a kid

I was asked to help deal with a little piglet that was not little in any way a few years later

"Ms Anderson admits she may have naively bought into the mini-pig fallacy when her mother surprised her with two piglets. She said they were told the pigs would stay miniature for their whole lives.
"We never owned pigs before but we assumed we were being told the truth … we didn't know any better,"
    Ms Anderson said."

I often put DYOR on my financial waffle. Do Your Own Research .

Trust me that's good advice for teacups or unicorn reports as well as investments

Met a gent with a Silent Service beanie on yesterday. He was a O boat man I have very likley PINGED on with a smile knowing his Sub would have blown us out of the water with a Mark48 hours before I found them

Nuclear subs in current affairs perhaps? I really like the much cheaper Autonomous Underwater hydrogen battery types we are testing SHHHHHHH

Meanwhile a EV ship was just launched by Austal Shipping Not the ship on fire with some EVs in it Korea is smarter than your average bear at building super tankers and Nuclear reactors .

Not at all surprised to see this new evolution from them.
