No reason they wouldn't be, the Maralinga Mustangs (Google it)seemed to be & one was fit to fly after the tyres & Battery were changed & although not buried, they sat through a Nuclear Explosion behind a couple of mounds.

Unfortunately the landies are buried under the machinery that was used in the Theiss cleanup. Everything was destroyed by crushing before burying and the heavy equipment had the oil drained out and motors run until they seized just for good measure. There's a few kilos of unaccounted for plutonium in that pit contained in the ground scrapings from the most contaminated sites. The Mustangs were fine after the half life from the blast had passed, not so for the major contamination which wasn't from the blasts but rather from the "secondary tests" which included blowing up plutonium with conventional explosives to see what happened, a hint here, it just sprayed radioactive material with a half life of 20,000 years all over the landsacpe, hence the mess that Theiss eventually cleaned up.
