The water used seems to have a big impact on the taste of the beer. Many years ago lived in London and the local pub had VB on tap. Now normally would not touch it but gave it a try. Was actually drinkable as did not taste like the stuff at home. Whenever had visitors over from Australia used to take them to the pub and buy them a drink only telling them when at it was after they had had a few mouth fulls. Interesting, as Melbourne has always been known for the quality of its drinking water, well up until a politician decided to **** that up. Only Tassie could claim better.

I wondered why I loved Stella when I was in the Middle East and Europe and can't stand it here. I never put 2 and 2 together, just stopped drinking it.
