Did you read that last bit in The Guardian as well? Maybe they can have him put away for starting an imaginary war.

Maybe not this actual one but sure as hell another one would have somewhere.

just how big can a hailstone get?

My Disco Died in a hail storm RIP ( a few years ago) The hail was about as big as the picture below

Hailstones as big as eggs – like these that fell in Louisville, Colorado, in 2018 – are not uncommon in severe storms

In Sydney cars written off by hail seemed a bit more common than here in Mexico

The bad news is big hail is getting more common "We have in fact already seen evidence of this, with hail pad data in France indicating a shift in the size distribution of hail," says Brimelow. Hail pads are blocks of soft material that are left out in storms and deform when impacted by hail to give a record of the size and number of hailstones in the area. "Fewer days with small hail have been observed with warming, but there have been more days with larger hail." "

How big can a hailstone get? Very big , try this baby Link to story

AAMI Insurance wrote off my Daughter's Subaru Station Wagon a couple of years ago with Hail Damage. It didn't look too bad to me & the car was safe & drive-able. ???????

Were you parked up in the local Golf Club Beginners Playing Area? That could do it.

The 'dimple sucker' thing that gets used to pull dents out doesn't work on aluminium because it stretches on impact.

A guy I worked for had a lux that got turned into a golf ball by hail in outer Melb.

Covered by insurance, one day at the panel beaters, and you could not see any damage at all.............. and I used to manufacture surfboards that had a finish like a sheet of glass.

Size of hail seems to depend on where you are. In the YK Gail is not that infrequent but is considered to be large if the size of a marble.

In the sixties had a hail storm in Brisbane where it came through the fibro roof and the ceiling to reach the kitchen table. For many years houses had odd coloured roofing as the panels that were replaced had not weathered
