Was just watching a video about the Ever Given - which has been ‘arrested’ and is now being held pending a $916 million claim against the shipping company. Well the comments on the video just bemused me - there are several conspiracy theories going on - from Nuclear Weapons being transported on board that Israel want to get their hands on to a huge people smuggling ring and that the grounding was deliberate.

Amazing how many dumb ****s there are in the world...

Do you honestly believe some Govts wouldn't these days especially ME ones., given the right circumstances & their clandestine motives. C'mon Gav, I know you are not that naive as most of your posts are really clear & well thought through.


As for the grounding it does seem a bit crap but let's wait & see what the Fez Wearers come up with although for me I wouldn't be holding my breath on honesty from there.

They may not have expected a delay so when some poor bastard opens up a few containers in Antwerp & a heap of corpses tumble out "OOOPS RUMBLED! "How did that happen?" they'd say. I can hear Manuel from Fawlty Towers,"I KNOW NOTHING MR Fawlty I know nothing."

Re nukes. as I understand it, they can be just in a wooden box & not Scanned or Declared for radioactivity by said corrupt officials. The case wouldn't necessarily have NUCLEAR BOMB HANDLE WITH CARE. DO NOT DROP., ink stencil-led on it in 150mm high numbers either. Essential parts could be added later. "Machinery Parts" seems to be a popular mask these days.
It doesn't even have to look like a traditional bomb with fins just a box with "Do not open under any circumstances" That would be enough to put me off.

Nephew does IT security for google. Favourite hacking story ,Italian port, Genoa from memory Belarussian hacks the port automatic crane system on behalf of colombian drug cartel. Logs in, gets into system finds specific container via number with drugs inside ,instructs automatic crane to pick it up and take to cleared customs area thereby overiding customs checks. the truck arrives,picks it up from said cleared area and waved through gate, job done and no need to even pay off a human as they cost money as can be a security risk as well
