I don't have any childhood friends - I can only remember the name of one and I haven't seen him since 1964. I went to too many schools when my father moved from one engineering job to the next.

Apparently Buddy Ebsen, the original Tin Man, developed serious lung complications from the tin (aluminium dust) make-up, and was replaced with the fellow pictured, Jacky Haley.

Yes, sadly they have succumbed to death. Buddy at the tender age of 95 and Jack, a spring chicken, at 82.
