There was an Optforus tower in the coastal town I used to live in. The only person I knew (retired deputy police commissioner)who briefly used that service saved a fair bit of money coz he couldn't connect to the network even when he had line of sight.

I ALSO IS WITH OPTUS IN A WAY. DO-DO is associated through SINGTEL/OPTUS $5 per month & includes all Aust wide Unlimited calls No Data but is available for a Small fee.

Bloody great value for our needs.


Haven't been let down with no service even out in the Donga & I guess that comes through from an OPTUS Tower.

Access can be sweet until its not!!!

M&D submitted a document to Centre link a few months ago. Access via Gov ONLINE was not working. Reset PW prompted a Email to a known email address at 13:00

Email to know Email address did NOT appear!

Resent Email to Known Email Address

Resent Email to know Email address did NOT appear!

Did it again to drive myself and family nuts
ReResent Email to know Email address did NOT appear!


An hour later I found a option to uninstall and reinstall one of the KEY ID side programs.
This prompted a Email to a known email address at 16:00

3 Email to know Email address did appear with a time 15:28 ish!!!!! No email at 16:00 or by 16:10 when the programe requiring the code Timed OUT!

Guess what turned up at 17:15!!!! Thats over an hour after it times out!!!!

Gotta love technology, ay! After trying to do something with Government online, I put a question in the 'Chat box'. I then received a phone call, on my phone and the Publc Servant on the other end explained to me that the only phone number they have listed is my wifes and that I would have to go online and register my number wifh them as well. I was so dumbfounded that I couldn't bring myself to explain the present situation.

Nah. Pub is a few hundred metres from her place. I would have heard. The fires were real enough though. Some concern in the area.

The fire was about halfway up the road to the Mt French Lookout so quite far from the Dugandan hotel and as this is the conspiracy thread. I think it was caused by a UFO that has altered the space, time continuum as the park rangers had already closed the park entrance road on Sunday when the sign said to be closed on Tuesday the 24th October!

I am surprised that no one has written a book about all the Gubmint stuff-ups & lack of responses.

Maybe they have, but it would need to have more pages than Larousse Gastronomics.
