Dunno about the egg, apart from Nutritionists rating it as a 'high-value' food.

These days it's pretty much impossible to be surprised by what any of the rent seekers will say.

I've been leafing through the nutrition guide our very own Cancer Council puts out. No thanks. They push cereals, but make no mention of avoiding processed cereals which are mostly sugar or starch. They don't mention avoiding seed oils, or modified starches at all. It's just the "food pyramid" all over again.

These days, if I have to read the fine print on the label I'll refuse to eat it. I already have cancer, thanks.

But, I'm sticking with the eggs, when I can find some. High protein, low carbs, that's the ticket. Organic, free range of course. Read the labels on what they put in chook food.

Usually the infections from eggs comes from the outside, the shell, as long as the eggs are fresh. This is why they say not to consume raw eggs. Commercial eggs are no doubt washed in some awful concoction. When I kept chooks I always washed them. The eggs, not the chooks.

Eggs are an amazing food. So many great things to be got from them. Especially if the yolk remains runny, which is difficult if you like omelettes....

Mate if I seriously answered this slight on commercial egg farmers I would probably be banned for a while. It’s that sort of ignorant **** that gets really irritating for people trying to earn a living and responding to consumer demands. By the way, your statement is wrong.
