    Recommend a fabricator - Melbourne

    Hi All,

    Can any one recommend a good fabricator in Melbourne...?

    The window channels on my 2 door are shot.

    The part is NLA - and I have contacted multiple “RRC 2 Door” specialists - and nobody has them, and nobody can source them...

    I have also contacted multiple UK parts specialists - same result.. No go.

    So far I have managed to remove the drivers one (very gingerly). I will try to remove the passenger side tomorrow, to see if there is a difference....

    Anyway - next step is to find a fabricator..

    How wide is the channel that the window sits in? Probably find someone who could bend up that section I should think. Also, you got a set of verniers or something - wondering how thick the material is? Any chance you can knock up a sketch with all critical dimensions on it? I can ask around from there - we have a Subby at work who can make just about anything from steel. 👍

    And I’m assuming the left and right side are mirrors of each other?

    And they will need to be properly galvanised, not something in cad plate or (even worse) powder coated.

    I will get the passenger side of next and then try and sketch something up.

    The problem is that:

    They are badly ruated and damaged
    I made them worse when removing them

    But hopefully I can draw up something....

    Fabricator

    Hi GG,
    I have the passenger side channel out of my 2 door at the moment and it is ok. If you want to borrow it for measurements or to show a fabricator you are welcome. I’m in Sunbury, pm or ring me, 0417013220.
