Went and looked at the bridge yesterday morning. Water just over the bridge, but also the bridge is blocked by two large trees (the river was 2m higher overnight). Since then, the river has risen by another three metres because of heavy rain up round Dunedoo.

I am hoping to get into town today - we had another 6mm overnight, and there was a lot more further upstream by the looks of the radar. I don't have to go across this bridge to get into town - only likely issues are crossing Spring Ck, which won't have much water in it, but the crossing could be damaged or there could be trees down.

That's great. Love the sound of rain on the roof.
Big storm in Sydney last night. We were in the camper and pleased it didn't leak after the repairs.

I read about that gas bottle accident , How freakishly unlucky was that poor bugger.

No rain reported by the Geraldton airport weather station But my rain gauge shows 7mm and the rain only lasted about 15min so it was a pretty good shower.
I have just finished cleaning all the tanks out around the house and cleaned all the gutters But unfortunately I had left one of the tanks bottom valve open so I lost that water although I did get some water in the other tanks which I am pleased about.
The forecast for the next few days is for showers and a possible thunderstorm so I am waiting in hope here

The Barwon is running Brewarrina to Menindee lakes, but the joy is tinged with anger at the news that the NSW Water Minister has allowed irrigation pumping to commence in the Namoi and Gwydir valleys , because at the moment there is a basin wide embargo in place to stop extraction, in place until FEB.27.

Good work. I cleaned all our gutters, fitted fresh gutter guard and had the main tank cleaned and the water filtered before we left for two months in Tasmania, and then it rained, so my timing was good.

Got into town and back without issues - but there are a couple of places close to Dubbo where there was a lot more rain and wind than here - trees down, fences lying down with the weight of water and debris that has been through, that sort of thing.

Hoping to spend a night in Copi Hollow in around 7 weeks....would love to see it full and the interconnecting channel flowing into Lake Menindee.

I might change my travel plans now and go down the Darling. Maybe take the axe and tune up some of those pumps.

I just hope 1. my D2 doesn't die on me and 2. the Darling river flows again , so my wife and I can travel along its course, camping on the way.

Went up the Darling from Wilcannia 18mths ago

I reported it here and was so saddened by its condition , country I grew up in.

I hope the river fills Bob and you get to see the wildlife that is part of it.

When are you thinking of going?

I'm travelling 2nd week of April
