I hope the river fills Bob and you get to see the wildlife that is part of it.

When are you thinking of going?

I'm travelling 2nd week of April
Everything depends on SWMBO. Still working, three grandchildren, after years of thinking we would have none, make it difficult. I don't mind, the Grandchildren are precious. There is one way I can work this in my favour. I wanted a small caravan, but the boss said no. So I bought a campervan. It's good, but would have been better 20 years ago, I reckon I have almost talked her into selling the camper, and buying a suitable caravan. More comfort, and all that. But the clincher was " the grandkids would be safer in a van, if they came to visit us in some campsite." Still working on that, so you see I can't give a date of travel quite yet. But if all the stars align, we'll be off in a flash. We must all have a plan.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

This morning I measured 57mm, still raining very gently.

Just to put this in perspective, this is the most rain in 24hrs I have measured since 29th March 2014, when I measured 68mm.

I can see I'm going to have to see if I can start my lawnmower! (Its probably over a year since it has run!)

We had 75mm yesterday, but unlike a lot of you guys, that’s just the latest lot, it’s been the wettest Summer I can remember here in Melbourne - multiple 50 to 100mm drenching in the last 2 months. My lawn is never green at this time of year - it looks like the middle of spring and I’m still mowing twice a week.

I do have to laugh at the neighbour behind me - if it doesn’t rain for a day or two his sprinkler is straight back on - his grass is no greener than mine, it’s just a bloody waste of good water.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

You got my share. All I got was a bit of a blow, inky sky and less than 2mm, half an hour before you felt the first drops.
