Corporate speak, Public Service speak? What happened to Normal speak?
Jonsey, I think the rise of Sir Humphrey Appleby may have had something to do with that & in his case it was to bamboozle PM/Minister Jim Hacker. But there is certainly a level that is betwixt the CEO (OOPS!) speak & Sir Humphrey's, both meant to bamboozle lesser mortals.

Don't you just hate it when....

You are at a petrol station, and a car is in your way - because the person is inside paying. Now that's fair enough.

But the person comes out, unlocks their car, sits down, puts on their seat belt, adjusts their interior mirror, adjusts their seat, does their hair, adjusts their side mirrors, turns on the radio and selects a tune, turns on the air-con and adjusts the temperature, opens their chocolate bar, starts the car, selects drive, and repeats all of the above... They looked at you as they hopped in their car - but couldn't care less..

When returning to my car - if there is a car behind me, I tend to start my car first, move it forward (out of the way), and then perform the above jobs.. But that's just me.

I do that for fun but you get a far better reaction when you do it in a drive through maccas. People rage at that one.

Bloody hell! I even look for a place "Off court" to park before I go in & pay. Must be mad.

One day the Console geezer will think I'm a "drive off" & call the cops who will arrive the minute I am at the console paying. One of us will look embarrassed.

The locals around here are worse than that. (Am I a local after 30 years?)
They park at the bowsers, come in to the Roadhouse, shop for 15 or 30 minutes, pay for the shopping, then buy their tobacco in a seperate purchase & THEN pay for their fuel (out pumps are pre-pay), then chat for a few more minutes, then go out & pick up the wrong pump, work out it's the wrong pump & get the correct one, but the fuel has timed out so they have to come back in to get it re-set, have another chat, then maybe, go & pump the fuel, then spend a few minitues finding the kids, a few more getting Aunty Molly back in the car, then a minute or 2 to find who has the car key, by which time they may drive off.
Drives the Tourist nuts during the season.
We have 2 times here, real time & Doomadgee Time.
Doomadgee Time can be up to 5 years behind real time but this is not consistent & need constant monitoring & updates.

Do you have a pointy head? If Yes, you are.

If no, keep working at it.

Do you have the IQ of a Mozzie? If yes, you have probably made the grade.

If No then again, keep at it.

Some servos have signs saying pay before you move your vehicle.
