What made me grumpy this weekend was the ABC cancelling "Vera" part way through to cover Prince Philip's passing. I'm not sure what the point of each TV station having several channels is if they are going to show the same thing across all of them, especially when ABC has Ch 24 as a dedicated news channel. I can understand interrupting a program to break the news, and maybe even putting the "ticker tape" across the bottom of the screen to say tune in to the other channel for more details.
